Detailing and protecting a car properly is a time-consuming process. No part of this process can be rushed in any way – This is critical to maintaining reputation for excellence.

It must be that time of year again as enquiries for detailing and paint protection have gone through the roof.

Managing the workflow along with customer demands (of course all our customers are lovely, easy-going people) and ensuring that impeccable standards are maintained is a daily challenge.

Detailing and protecting a car properly is a time-consuming process. For example, we typically take 1.5 days just to prepare a new car’s paintwork prior to the application of any protective coatings or PPF. No part of this process can be rushed in any way – This is critical to maintaining reputation for excellence.

Some manufacturers do a fantastic job of ensuring their paint is in excellent condition when their cars leave the factory. Porsche are a great example of this – Always a pleasure to work on. Some other manufacturers are less focussed in this area and their cars need far more work before being protected.

We are always striving to deliver the most flawless finish possible; with crystal clear, razor sharp reflections on every panel right down to the sills. In our eyes, this is what makes a professionally detailed car stand out in the crowd.

We are a small business with a small team and this means that we can give a very personal service, providing updates to our customers throughout the process and ensuring our standards of delivery and quality control is second to none.

One of the ways that we ensure we maintain our high standards is limit then number of cars we prepare each week. This works well for us and our customers and we are always booked a few weeks ahead. Just occasionally, circumstances dictate that we need to increase the number of cars we work on at very short notice. Last week was a great example of this when one of our local dealerships made contact and asked if we could carry out a paint enhancement detail and ceramic coating on a McLaren 720s they had sold that day. And could we turn it around in three days? “Of course we can” is the only answer to give here so we organised for the car to be transported to us and informed our families that we had a few late shifts ahead.

Luckily, our small team are not afraid of hard work and long hours and love every minute of what we do.

Reflecting back on the week (as we seem to do each Friday afternoon) it’s incredible to see the pride in some of the work that we’ve delivered together. You get to know a car very well over the course of two or three days and seeing it transform into something very special looking is extremely satisfying.

So as our business grows, we need to find ways of satisfying the demand without us all working silly hours and that’s why we are now advertising for an additional detailer to join our team.

So if you know of someone who has a passion for cars (this is a must), and interest in detailing, ceramic coatings and Paint Protection Film (PPF) and who has bags of energy, please let them know to get in touch – we’d love to hear from them.
